Data-Oriented Design Introduction

Recorded with: 5.6 | Last Update: 5.6 | No Commit

In this lesson we talk about Data-Oriented Design vs. Object Oriented Programming (which is what we have been doing so far) and some of DoD's (performance) benefits.

As usual we focus on practical lessons to properly understand the concepts presented. However, in this case I feel it's valuable to take some time to watch some of the amazing Talks given on the topic of Data-Oriented Design. These talks take more time explaining why memory access is so critical in creating high performance (game) code.
