The abtest command is a powerful utility to compare two console variables and receive performance measurements by the engine on which option is faster. You may also want to use it for visual comparison as it rapidly toggles between both settings while in-game.

An example command that toggles between 1 and 4 in r.nanite.MaxPixelsPerEdge.

abtest r.nanite.MaxPixelsPerEdge 1 4


To stop the abtest:

abtest stop
